Cartridges into the masseto

Recommended load impedance is 10-50 ohms for that cartridge. Perhaps the Masseto's very low impedance does not mate very well with it. I used a step up transformer and the MM input with my Masseto when I had it and it made the few cartridges that I tried sound much, much better.

The SPU Anniversary has a very low impedance (2 ohms, I believe) and should be a great match. In fact, it should be a better match than most other modern SPUs. I use an Accuphase AC-3 (also very low impedance) into the mc input in my Masseto and it is a perfect match.

Not really any progress yet. As indicated I really dont want to keep dumping more bucks into my vinyl setup. Something is amuck with the setup or perhaps my ears prefer digital over vinyl. Maybe Matt will shed some light as he so kindly offered to view a few pictures of my setup. When I have time I would love to get together with Dale (dirtbag)to get his opinion.
