Big thumbs up to Krell for the prompt reply and Damien Janzen took care of me with the upgrade of my PurePower 2000 last year. Awesome service.

You might want to consider using the PP 1050 for everything but the amp.
Joe, you read my mind.

Correct. The draw from the Krell was too much for the 1050.
I remember seeing the LOAD display on the PP go up to 40% when the amp was turned on. Didn’t put 2 and 2 together until I tried plugging directly into the wall.
As soon as I did, The LOAD went back down to almost 0

Just wondering Krell recommends either the stock power cord or their Vector power cord.

You need a Humbuster or similar product to plug your amp.

Congrats, as Krell owner and lover I can say you have one of the best stereo amps available in tue market. Silk highs, good medium weight and sismic bass... Amazing clean and fast sound!!

Enjoy it

Hi I'm new to the forum so please be gentle with me

I own an ARC CD5, LS26, a Krell 2250 and Wilson Sophia 2. An opportunity has come up to buy a Krell 302 (first generation). However I had my heart set on a 302e so my question has anyone compared the 302 with the 302e ? One dealer said they're very similar - another tells me the 302e is streets ahead.

Unfortuately the cost of Krell is at 50% higher in the UK than is the States so I'll have to wait for a secondhand one to come up if I leave it.

Many thanks, Mike

I have heard both and my view is that the 302e is significantly better than the intended 300. However as is always the case, can you try it in your system?
Marc
Nb I am know what you mean re prices in the UK!
