The Thorens TD 309 just received the EISA award 2010-2011 for the best TT :






It is indeed beautifully engineered and crafted. The french review "Prestige Stereo and Image" tested it and they found it amazing. Great pics of the different parts of the TT. Price in France is 1470 euros in black and 1490 euros in red.
The reviewer states that this TT disturbs clearly the hierarchy with high end ones...

I intend to try and hear this sometime soon. It does look pretty funky and not at all Thorens like but it is meant to punch well above its weight )read; price)
