Another one listed for $3k. I don't really need the preamp switching section - digital only.
The Peachtrees represent great value. A Musica they are not.

The Musica was used in designing both Auditor and Memento. Its circuit has been used to design almost all of the Sf speakers since the early 90s. It outperforms many far costlier alternatives on Sonus Faber loudspeakers, among others.

Thanks. I have a spare 40w peachtree sitting here which is why I asked. The dac is appealing as I will stream in 320kb audio to the SF.
So Musica still recommended then? Price point for a nice used one? Outboard DAC recommended?
A pair of auditors locally for sale too...

Can you let me know why?

Are they bad speakers for the price?
Hard to drive?
Or potential scam?
Better sf's to buy for the price?

Do you think these would be good speakers?

It's possible Jimmy thought they were Amati Anniversario at $8k (which would be a scam), not Amati Homage at $8k (which would be a normal price).

That makes sense - thank you n

Are they nice sounding, worth considering for the price? And a good pairing with the suggested Musica?

Which Peachtree? If it's the original Nova, it's a nice sounding integrated, but the amp section is a little anemic.

All of the above. Amati Homage can be a bit precise in set up requirements but is well worth the effort.

Don't skimp on the quality of amp either. Musica is a minimum I would use on Amati Homage. Anything better than Musica on AH will cost you much more, new or used.

The Nova sounds nice as a DAC/Pre and since it has pre-outs, you can add an external amp. Or you could follow Bill's suggestion of the Musica and use the fixed out of the Nova as a DAC.

May be down to Amati homage ($8k, early one in maple) or less expensive Cremona m auditor ($4k)

Is the ah worth the difference? Maybe the Musica with either.

Sorry to be so questioning but want to get going!

Say some extremas near by for sale, but wants like $9k for them.

I assume nothing new that should consider instead under $10k

Cheers!
