Default B&W Prestige

I had the chance to see the first pair of 802 D3 Prestige delivered to a German dealer this week.

Here the set-up with McIntosh electronics.

It's a beauty...

Here an 802 D2 in black beneath the 802 D3 Prestige.

In Germany it's more than 4.000 € surcharge for the Prestige model.

David Ellington with B&W was nice enough to stop by and help integrate the DB2D with my 805D3s. The predetermined set up on the app was a bit weak so he did a custom setup with hopes of finding out why app choice with 805 was less than stellar. Initially I felt my sub was faulty, which may still be the case.

Those sure look great! Wish the whole 800 line was available in that finish.

Is it fixed?

Waiting to hear back about app update. The custom setup on equalization is OK but I feel app should integrate the 805D3 and sub much better.

Can you help us with the details here? What in particular was off? Thanks

When choosing 805D3 as mains the DB2D volume was much too low. Had to go into custom settings to adjust the output even though level on app was set to max at 10dB

Wow, sweet!
I don’t see these on the Canadian web site. Is the speaker the same as the regular 805 D3, or is there internal upgrades?
