Default Now taking orders on the new MS Music Server

We are now taking orders on our all new, super powerful, MS Music Servers!

https://wyred4sound.com/products/music-servers/ms

Enjoy!

People have been waiting for this. It was probably the single item that got the most interest at the RMAF. Our prototype played non stop the entire time we were there, from Thursday through Sunday. We did not even turn it off over night! We were controlling Roon on the server from both an iPad and an Android tablet throughout the time that we were in Denver.

Looks like another great Wyred 4 Sound product. I just finished reading the Owner's Manual. Operation seems straight forward.

Some questions come to mind. What control applications can be used for an iPad or Android tablet or phone? I assume these control apps are available at iTunes or Google Play Store. Also, what are the dimensions of the MS Server?

Hey Dan,

Pretty much any app available in the app stores; Roon works amazingly well. Many applications are available in our menus to be easily install straight from the MS menus, Roon, HQ Player, a hard drive backup application, etc.

The size is 9.5" wide, by 8.5 " deep, and 3.5" high.

By the way, the manual is still somewhat in draft form. It is still being proof read, so if there are any typos, etc., please forgive .

Thanks for the quick reply. As for Roon, it holds no interest for me, way too bloated with features I have no concern with, not to mention the subscription fees or the life time payment to use it. Not my cup of tea. I simply want to search my library, build playlists if I wish, and enjoy listening. A clean, simple control app is all I would need.

BTW, does that 3.5" height include the feet or just the enclosure?

It is just under 3.5", including feet. I literally used a ruler on the one sitting right next to me .

Am I reading correctly that the standard i3 gets a 2TB SSD and the optional I7 has a 1TB ssd ?

No, the i3 package comes with a spinning drive while the i7 comes with SSD. They both have a small SSD for the OS (and better system performance), but storage is done on a separate drive. Both have the ability of using your NAS or mounting an external USB drive for additional storage.

I changed the web site to say HDD hard drive for the i3 package. Hopefully that is a little clearer. Thank you for pointing out something that may not have been as clear as it could be. We always strive to do our best ....
