Next week, on the 17th by end of day - I hope, I will receive my MCD1100. Yipeeeee

What is totally awesome is that I will get to test like for like. My current McIntosh inventory consists of having the MCD550. I also have some duplicate CDs as well as two Astell & Kern AK240s that both mirror the same tunes. I will also use identical input cables.

Match made in heaven, right?

The plan is to put the MCD1100 against the MCD550 with everything being like for like. My hope is that the MCD1100 smokes.

Even if the both in the end perform equal, I'm still happy. The MCD1100 is a beauty to look at.

David.......Make sure to level match the outputs accurately. Do you have a sound pressure level meter?

Dan I am sure that is much more accurate than the ipad/itunes apps huh

Found the meter here: Extech 407750

The only finds, quick duck duck go search shows Rives Audio Test CD2 lots of thief downloads/torrents. I will not steel music or software. Dan, where did you buy your Rives Audio Test CD2?
