Default Recommend some decent TV stands that fit a lot of stuff.

I need some advice on a media rack for home theater. McIntosh is too tall for normal tv stands so I'm leaning on you for advice. I also need unfinished or natural walnut style.
I need to fit Mcintosh mx122 and MC207, cable box, bluray, nintendo wii u, and xbox one. I was hoping for smoked glass too.

I'm leaning towards one from standout designs like this:

It has 20" tall cubbies so I can fit a pre and amp on one side.

This is the one I'm returning since only an amp would fit on either side leaving not much room for other components. The cubby is 13" tall and it's the one my wife picked out.

Is 20" deep enough for the cables and their connectors out the rear?

I don't know. First theater setup. I had a entertainment center that had a tv and bose 321 hiding in one of the cubbies with mesh for a door.
Standout designs has a removable back panels, but should I be worried?
I don't want to order something online and pay freight to send it back.

I think you're right.
MC207: 17-1/2" x 9-7/16" (including feet) x 21" (including front panel and cables)

You beat me to the suggestion to cut out or remove the rear panels which probably would not be noticeable from the front or a seating position. From a cooling standpoint, no rear panels would be a good thing.

You could always get an estimate from a cabinet maker. You could chose your woods and dimensions.

A locally made custom cabinet might cost less than you think.

I've always just cut some small slots in the back to route cabling through. It provides a path for air circulation and preserves the clean look of the rear panels to hide what's going on in the back.

I like Salamander racks for their depth and adjustable shelving.

I use two (2) Twin 30 units side by side with the backs in place, cut as mentioned above for the cabling to pass through to the back.

Excuse the mess...I was totally re-doing the system at the time I took the picture.
