OK, I just got the Sooloos update as well. Now off to set up a Tidal account.

Jim, given the 192Kbps-256Kbit/s of Rhapsody vs 1,411.2 kbit/s of Tidal, Compressed music throws away information, and $20/Month subscription. It should.

I didn't have much of an issue with Rhapsody via Sooloos. It integrates seamlessly with the music I have loaded to my server and it saved me a lot of money purchasing marginal discs. If I like the music I just order the CD from Amazon and load it on the MC200.

It looks like Meridian has done it again with Tidal. If you like a CD you just tag it and it shows up on your screen listed along with all of the other music you have downloaded (or tagged previously).

As far as SQ I could listen to Rhapsody via MDMS most of the time knowing that I am leaving some bits on the table. I am willing to pay that additional $10 per month assuming that I will start seeing MQA encoded tracks this spring. That is the key for me.

I am enjoying Tidal on my Sooloos very much. As a challenge to its catalog, I searched for Roger Miller's "Chug-a-lug". Sure enough, it's there, and after 50 years still makes me want to holler Hi-de-ho!

I certainly want something to break away from the current norms.

Another satisfied recent tidal user albeit via Aurender not Meridian. Glad to see Sooloos owners can now enjoy this benefit. Tidal will likely result in a lot less cd purchases from Amazon for me. Certainly worth the 20 bones/month for this guy.

Received Meridians 90-day code for Tidal now after registering my MC200 yesterday. Looking forward to trying it out this evening!

Meridian responded with a new password this morning and after registering my product again they quickly provided a 90 Trial code. I cancelled my free 7 day subscription and added the 90 and I immediately updated my account information in SooLoos. Worked perfect. Back to listening again.

I was going to compare the same two albums via Rhapsody and Tidal to try and hear the difference. I will look for another as Tidal did not have the first artist/album I tried. May have to keep them both, or just order that CD.

Yes- at this point I keep both Google Play Music and TIDAL Hifi... and I still buy CDs.

Now does TIDAL inside of Sooloos/ MDMS support the rich meta data from Allmusic.com?

i.e. I want to be able to filter/focus all Rock albums, mastered by Bob Ludwig. Can this be done?
