Default Novo magazine review of MC312

See recent review of McIntosh MC312

https://novo.press/mcintosh-labs-mc3...fiers-of-2019/

Also surprised in review how well this amplifier worked with the Magnepan speakers. The earlier version McIntosh MC302 did not work well with my Magnepan MG1.7i

Nice! Heard great things about the 312. I wonder if a “313” is on the way to replace the 303..

Nice review of what I am sure is a great amp. Two weaknesses in the review itself: (1) more than one speaker was not included in the evaluation; and (2) no classical music was included in the listening sessions. Large scale classical recordings reveal weaknesses in ways that more 'simple' (meaning recordings of a half dozen instruments or less) often do not.

I did own a 302 which performed for me well until it was replaced with a 462. For those who have the new 312, enjoy!

Bob

I replaced a MC152 with a MC302 and couldn’t be happier. My system sounds muc better now with a lot more authority. I never heard a MC312 so I don’t know what I am missing. All I know is my MC302 and C2500 play very nice together.

Very happy with my MC312 and I do found it is more effortless in power than the MC302 I had.
