Replacement Screws for C2300?
Hi guys,
I need to change out the tubes in my C2300 and the last place I had my unit repaired tightened the screws to the top of the unit far too tight. I ended up stripping one of the screws trying to remove them and came close to doing the same for a couple others. Does anyone know what size I need to get for replacements? I'm talking about the screws for the top of the unit in order to remove it to get to the tubes. Thanks in advance!

+1 - McIntosh uses thread rolling screws that will be hard to find at your local hardware store or parts jobber.

Hi Steve,
Try these computer thumb screws...as a devoted tube roller and C2300 and C500T preamp owner....I found these to be a huge time saver. They even fit the "front porch" on C500t and C1000t. A huge convenience on these as you eliminate trying to maneuver a short phillips screwdriver around MM and MC tubes....I've been using these for about 4 years. Check it out.
