Default For all you vinyl enthusiasts and even those of you who are simply curious....

Here's a neat site that has a couple of interesting features. There are 500x and 1000x magnifications of vinyl grooves that show you up close what the grooves that a stylus travels over look like. Truly remarkable when you think how tiny the scale is. There is also an interesting Discovery Channel 10 min documentary on how vinyl records are manufactured (repeat for those of you who have Michael Fremer's DVDs) but there is also other How Tos down below like how speakers are made, etc... Enjoy : http://reckon.posterous.com/vinyl-re...tron-microscop

Seeing the grooves up close makes an even better case for investing in a record cleaning machine.

Thanks for the article Cyril.

I've seen these before but they are still cool to look at.

I tell you if I had one of those microscopes I'd be taking before and after images every time I cleaned a side!
