Think away... The big question is always: how much will I use now and how quick will I make it grow?

Randy, Back to our original programming, please keep us up to date as you break things in. Let me know if you want to talk about ripping. Craig Sent from my iPad using A.Aficionado

Craig, I am ripping away tonight (after a false start that was pilot error). I am running no upsample and S_DLY2 filter on USB and 4x upsample and S_DLY2 on CD. Assuming bit perfect copies of CDs, I would think I would prefer (and use) the same settings on both inputs. What are you using?

After ripping 12 CDs in one day (OMG!), I decided to give myself a treat and listen awhile. There is still plenty of break-in to go (highs are a bit brittle, lows a bit thick), but there is already an intimation of greatness here. Soundstage is bigger and more holographic. The noise floor is vanishing low - I keep hearing the "never heard that before!" detail in familiar songs.

As you've intimated Randy, it will only get better! I'm 80% done ripping my shiny discs, so in in full enjoyment mode now. Shelby Lynne, Just A Little Lovin' is on the Silenzio. Sounds like a dream!

And 12 discs in a day is dedication. I was on that pace for a while and it felt like a full time job. But a fun job!

Well, I wasn't staring at the screen. I would start a disk and then go do something else. Oddly, I began to develop a sense of when it was about time to circle back and check progress. I started walking up as the disk popped out.

I have invented a new grading scale for my music - "rip worthy." Of course, if I am keeping a disk it is going on the Silenzio, but I find myself wanting to rip my favorites first, hence "rip worthy." Seeing a screen full of album covers of favorites takes the sting out of ripping.
