Just the fact that you (seem) to own a dedicated listening room rules out "modest" as an adjective.

Congratulations.

Modest to me means "price", compared to what quite a few others have here.

Thank You! When I put this system together that was a must, for the amount of money I wanted to spend. Even with the other gear previous to what I have now. I will thank Paul Manos of Auravis for his great knowledge of gear and years of experience. Too bad he left last week to live in MA. He will be opening a store in Braintree I believe or close by. I believe his new store will be called "The Audio Shoppe". He carries some awesome gear: Manley, CJ, Neat Audio, Zanden, Burmester, Synergistic Research, VPI, Rega, Cardas, Chord, Nottingham, SME, Dynavector, Joseph Audio, and many many others to mention. If you are in the area check him out. I'm not sure when the store will be opening though.

When I'd been doing this "thing" for three years, my equipment "rack" consisted of three boards, set up on stacks of bricks, my speaker "wires" were lamp cords with the plugs cut off, my interconnects were about the same as those currently packed with cheap boom boxes, My phono cartridge was some Shure thing that cost about $19.95. My records were stored in peach crates. And, was I ever proud!

Man, you are way ahead of the game. Great stuff and I'll bet Great sound. Great looking system! Congratulations to you.

Julian
