Trevor.... I have HRS Damping plates on all of my McIntosh components. The best ones are the large DPX, but as they are at least twice as thick, you will notice them. They do more than dampen airborne and chassis vibration. They absorb EM/RF too.

I have a medium DPII stacked on top of 2 large DPX forming a pyramid resting on the C1000T.

Surprisingly, I have experienced static discharge from them when stacked.

I've found that removing the cover is the best solution for the '95; in addition to no vibrations, the fan comes on much less often (hardly ever, IME).
