Default TONEAudio issue 30 ready for download...

New issue time again!

We've got quite a bit of concert coverage again this issue, a great interview with Tom Petty and I'm pretty sure we've also got the first full review of the Magnepan 1.7's too.

You can download the regular version (18mb) here:

http://www.tonepublications.com/MAGPDF/TA_030.pdf

And, you can download the high resolution (132mb) version here:

http://www.tonepublications.com/MAGPDF/TA_030HDX.pdf

Thanks again for reading, time for a day off!

I just downloaded the high res version on iPad but it consistently crashes GoodReader. Any particular PDF viewer that you recommend for the iPad?

Your iPad is obviously designed to protect you from the financial ravages of the audio hobby. Just another way Steve Jobs has your best interest at heart! Unless you are left handed and bought an iPhone.

I haven't tried the high res version on good reader, but honestly the regular res reads fine.

We are working on an iPad version, just waiting for Adobe to officially launch their reader, which will be just like Acrobat reader, but specifically for the iPad. If you've downloaded the Wired app from the iTunes Store, they did the beta testing for the app, so that's pretty much the lead we will be following.

Adobe is being incredibly tight lipped about this, but it's supposed to be out soon! We are all waiting, somewhat impatiently for it.

Jeff.......Issue 30 is great. I loved the walk down memory lane with the JBL L100 speakers. I remember lusting after the L100's, and eventually bought a mint used pair with orange grills at Hawthorne Stereo, in your fine city. I kept the L100's for years, until I finally gave them to my brother. They are still in use at his home, although the foam grills are long gone.

I also enjoyed the link to the EAT factory presentation. Very interesting to see how much hands on assembly the KT88's go through. Impressive. I must admit, $3600 to fill the eight sockets in my two MC275 MkV amps is a bitter pill to swallow for tubes, but the seed has been planted.

Thanks again for the fine publication you make available for us. I look forward to reading each issue.

Dan, understood. I wish those babies were about 200 bucks a pop! That is a bit on the crazy side... As I mentioned, Id consider them the last thing, if you've done everything else to your system and just wanted to go to 11.

Fortunately, the 275 is really easy on tubes and they should last quite a long time there.
