Default Wow - Monster M1000 series cables

I tried the old Monster M1000/1000i int today on my Mac stuff and it is amazing. I've gone through Mit, Audioquest, Kimber, etc but guess what the current cables are tone tuned. some of them tuned for midrange, imaging, sound stage...Now going back to M1000 is a nice trip indeed. the cables are well balanced tonal wise with tremendous details. my 70s music sound like my 70s music, my current 2013 jazz sound as dynamic as they could be. my fleetwood mac songs sound like they way they were when I was in college. Oh by the way forget about the excuse you have to make - my system is good for jazz only or its only great for classical...Happy listening guys and keep experimenting.....

Back in their day I hated the M1000 cables
Disjointed, cold and non musical are what I remember most.

What gear are you using?

McIntosh of course. You need to give your equipment and cables a chance to warm up.It could be the equipment you use back then. I found the sounds are very well-balanced throughout the whole spectrum. the details are very good as well. monster doesnt make them anymore you can only buy them used.

I haven't used any Monster cables for years. Monster is like the "Bose" of cables.
I would never hook a Monster cable to my Mc. It's a bit of an insult.
A bit like putting one of these tires

cnguyen777.......Don't get discouraged with the responses here. Monster cable was the cat's meow for many of us years ago, but most have discovered far better interconnects and speaker cables as we grew our systems. If Monster M1000 sounds good to you in your system that's all that really matters. Happy listening.

Ditto to JDANDY. Whatever floats your boat is good. This is an interesting hobby and there is such a point I diminishing returns at the upper ends. Personal preferences start to overwhelm any 'true' differences. I like my Chinese CD player but get crap for that in many circles...
