Wow - Monster M1000 series cables

Actually, the Monster M1000 HDMI cable is excellent, as is their TOSLINK optical. Better than the Audioquest ones I tried.

But the Shunyata HDMI is better yet...

I took out the Nordost Red Dawn LS between my MC302 and D100 and replaced them with Monster M1000 and guess what? They do indeed sound "different". More warmth and weight to voices and instruments with plenty of detail. I'm hearing a slightly different soundstage more width no less depth. Maybe a bit less air then the Nordost but hey these cables are 25 years old and really do not sound bad at all.

Can't say I know much about Monster cables although some have been in my TV sound systems years ago. About 25 years ago, I had a Monster Reference HTS 5000 power conditioner on loan from my dealer and the thing crapped out. I called Monster and ended up talking with Mr. Lee. He seemed embarrassed and a bit angry at the failure of his then finest power product sent me a brand new one, no questions asked. It's still functioning perfectly and powers my Home theater setup. Good for Monster and Nol Lee.
