I understand but when using a ring one should be dropping the arm so the side of the cartridge clears the ring.....with CA cartridges the cantilever sticks way out in front so the profile is much different than something like a Ortofon or Benz which many of them have a much shorter stylus profile and burried under the body, you could raise it a 1/4 inch and still have issues.....IMO I would set the rake to its propper position and simply drop the arm so it clears the ring....

On affected vinyl that is 1/4" or so into the track; the rake change was negligible and done by Garth.

I understand.....that's the down side with using a ring, additional adjustments are sometimes needed but it sounds good on the Innovation

Some updated info on the Ovation table....

1. Its available in Black or Silver plinth
2. Other CA arms will become available further down the road
3. Table, arm and cartridge packages are available
4. Outer ring no problem
5. Shipping will be end of September Approx.
6. 12" arms will not work
7. Unknown as if the table will be offered with no arm

They will, its just a bit too soon as there just getting rolling with the first batch and many of those are already spoken for....For the price point it should do well with anything at its price point....

I did see the new ovation table today with the Clarify arm and I must say its a very nice package.....I also saw the magnify arm too and that's nice. I'm not sure if I would be to worried upgrading from the Clarify arm on the Ovation. The Clarify has the same headshell as the Universal and carbon fiber arm tube, I'm also liking the counter weight as it has a very low center of gravity which is what you want..... really its a well built arm. From a price point the Clarify IMO is a better choice. I saw both the Silver and Black plinth versions and I think I prefer the Black......This table is well built and would guess this table will run with anything at its price point and even higher up the food chain IMO.

I also saw the new Master Innovation with the magnetic drive, very nice indeed, looks to have technology trickled down from the statement table. It basically looks like two Innovations stacked on top of each other.....I think they will be working on a upgrade package for Innovation owners so that would be cool......
