Talking McIntosh C70

McIntosh C70 announced today ))) so I know finally what it actually looks like.
Too me it is good there is no Dac section in preamp.
It was also reason I chose the C2300 in the past. Happy now I ordered the C70.

Also ordered MC312 power amplifier

Should arrive soon

No speakers now as cancelled the JBL's as they on back order. Always owned panel speakers in the past , not decided on Martin Logan or Magnepan this time

Dan

I hope McIntosh brings the carbon/ matte black look into more future products! It sure looks sexy! It brings the aesthsetcis into the current century.

You ordered a C70 already? The press release says that the sets will be sold first and then the components separately - sounds like it could be a while.

The C70 looks like an ultra modern C22!

Yes, I preordered it 3 weeks ago but now not sure when it will be shipped. It is possible I will not see preamplifier until The 70th Anniversary McIntosh Commemorative System's sets are sold.

That C70 looks great, kind of surprised they left a tape loop off an anniversary product but I suppose not many people use those anymore. The 2152 doesn't really have that classic Mc look, I'm not too into that. It looks nice, but IMO would be out of place in a Mc system.

Just saw the part about limited to 70 units...and the price. Ouch!

On their own, I'm okay with the looks of the preamp and power amp, but, aesthetically, I don't think these go together at all.
I guess it's a strategy to break the ice, and sell them, together, to make people associate both the old and new school of McIntosh looks.
