MA7000 problem .... can Autoformers leak?

Thanks for the update and your common sense approach to the repair. Very refreshing.

Got the MA7000 back last week and all is well with the world.

Parts were:
PCB8 Capacitor Assembly: $200 (This is the power capacitor that failed)
7 various transistors: $51
2 other capacitors: $6
Misc parts and fuse: $10

And a whopping $525 labor for the work to install, test and CLEAN the mess left by the failed capacitor. They said it is a crapshoot, sometimes you'll never have a failure and sometimes you will. I went 10.5 years before it blew up. Hopefully I can look forward to many years of trouble free operation. Right now it is sounds beautiful.
