Question Speaker choice with McIntosh?

Found out MC312 has shipped and not sure how long it be before C70 arrives as being sold part of set ( 70 pc )

Cancelled the JBL speakers as they were back ordered. In the past have owned Acoustat Spectra 22, Martin Logan SL3, Magnepan MG1.6, Martin Logan Spires, Magnepan MG1.7i

So far the Martin Logan's worked better with McIntosh. Has every one found any other speakers to have similar characteristics of panel speakers?

Dan

panel speakers ? are you talking stats or planar or saying both as compared to...... ?

I take it you are attempting to match a pair of speakers to your electronics ?....... 'bass ackwards' IMO

Magicos are fast like planar speakers. They are 5 to 6 db more efficient and there fore a better choice. But they are pricey. I have auditioned S5, S5 II, and S3. And though like any speaker they have their issues, they do have the properties you are looking for and our more efficient than planar speakers with an extended bass response. I preferred the Magicos with MC 275 and 2301's to add a little warmth, that you may not want. They have the best metal coated tweeter I have ever heard. I prefer silk tweeters most of the time but the Magico S series tweeter is special.
