If not for Lou Reed I do not think any of the music i really love would exist. Lou was that influential.

Went to the shrine auditorium in spring of 68 to see some music. Didnt know who was playing. turned out it was:
Dr John-1st lp tour, heavy vodoo vibe scared the hippies who moved away from stage Velvet Underground with Nico-heavy urban NY industrial strength (contrast to first act) Closing was Electric Flag-Bloomfield,Miles,Gravinitis,Brooks,Sanborn. My head was spinning for days. Thanks Lou for all you gave. |
