I could never believe a power cord could make a difference. However, when Audio Advisors came out with the Pangea at such a ridiculously low price I had to give one a try.
I put one on my VPI Classic 2 tt And noticed an immediate improvement. The bass tightened and the “pop” at shut off was reduced or gone (it varies). I slowly replaced all my cords with Pangea. (I have a Mac 275 and C200
Still believing it was likely all in my mind, I let my brother (who thought replacing cords a complete waste of money) try one on his CDP. He immediately noticed improvement in his system, also a MAC system, and offered to buy the cord from me on the spot. He too has since replaced all power cords.
If I had the extra cash I would invest in Shunyata cords for the whole system as I am certain they would be even better. As it is, I will have to be satisfied with what I have.
