Default LS27 and DS450 are in the house!

Dear friends,

Yes, it is true. The LS27 and the DS450 have arrived!

I will be short on this initial note but I can tell you that after only 5 hours of use and listening, I am very happy with my decision. The overall stage and musicality of my system has gone to a higher level. The bottom end is fabulous. Quite a nice compliment for my Revel Salon 2s. What's interesting (and exciting) is that I'm told that it continues to get better as the LS and DS break in.

All of this and I'm still using the my current wires (Tributaries, Kimber and Audioquest). The Shunyata PCs, ICs and SCs have not arrived.

Well, time to call it the day. I'll post some more observations and pictures over the next few days.

Mike

PS - Alberto, this is "muy delicioso"!

Mike...a big congrats. You have an excellent set-up. I'd be interested in hearing if you hear the sonics change as the DS-450 and LS-27 break in. Enjoy

Congrats! Mike. Nice choice of equipment, I'd like to read your impressions as the amp breaks in.

Mike.......Excellent. There is nothing like new gear in your system to light up a renewed interest in listening. Keep us posted as they break in.

Thanks Guys! I went with the black finish. Look terrific and the sound is already evolving. My dealer is asking me to be patient - 600 hrs! So, I have about another 595 hrs to go. Should be a fun journey.

Also, the Shunyata wires are about two weeks away. So, I'll get a chance to see/hear yet another level of improvement.

Incredibly, my week has been absolutely crazy at work and now I have some travel. So, it will be a little while before I post some pictures.

Mike

Dan - My reaction exactly. I'm not terribly concerned since the Salons already sound much better than with my Anthem gear. So, this is going to get better!

I am sure that your system took a big jump with your new gear. Looking forward to some photos
