Default Cremona Auditor Ms

Toying with the idea of upgrading my Auditor Ms. I am not at all unhappy with them, just contemplating a change. Some G. Evos can be had for $14K yet the Ellipsa SE can be bought for less - 11K; new/demo models. My room is 15' x 18' x 8' - 18' wall being the front wall (wall where speakers reside). Room opens in the back to a foyer below. I currently am using a REL B1 with the Sf.

I am partial to the Elipsa SE. Gorgeous looking and sounding speakers. At around $1100. They also would be a real deal. I paid a biit more for my demo pair.

I had the same setup as you for a few years, Auditor Ms and REL B1, and loved it. The Auditors really are excellent monitors. Before going to the Amati Futuras I considered the Evos as well but ultimately decided I needed to go for a bigger box that could integrate the bass more effectively in my room. The Elipsa would have been on my list except their width created room problems for me. I’ve seen pictures of your room and think you could easily fit the Elipsas, so I would definitely give them serious thought. As much as I loved my Auditor and B1 setup, I never realized until I went to the Futuras how important the integration of real bass coming from the same cabinet was. Either way, you’re in for a fun upgrade.

Thanks to everyone for their input and suggestions. Off to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show with hopes of buying my wife a nice emerald; of course, with plans to mention possible speaker upgrade after the purchase. I can be so evil some times.
