Agreed! Bought the K-01xs with the thought I’d be happy with a single box unit. Then I heard the Dac-02x and had to upgrade so using the k-01xs as a transport until this spring when I’ll add the p-02x and sell the k-01xs. Kind of in the middle of upgrade-itus.

I just ordered Grandioso P1 so I'll be stuck with SACD down sampled via AES/EBU until D1X comes along. Still, a nice problem to be stuck with.

So I'm not sure what you mean by downsampling? If you have an Esoteric DAC then you should be able to play SACD via one of the connectors that will do SACD ... ESLINK, Dual XLR or XLR. If you are NOT using an Esoteric DAC for now then I'm not aware of any downsamping feature. Only the ability to read the Stereo layer of a hybrid SACD in standard redbook format. If its a single layer SACD then nothing would be able to be played on non Esoteric DAC is my understanding. Let me know if I've missed something?
