The Ref 3 is huge! Any layout suggestions?
Beautiful system. If it were mine to layout, I'd probably go with a single rack and stack them.

Congrats! Ref3 looks cool. Love Black ARC gear too. I think OP is right on the money with side by sided gear scheme. Especially since it is placed between speakers. Low to the floor means no distorted center image / soundstage depth and allows greater cover for the wires. I think it looks great With regards to symmetrical height, I betcha raising the height of the vertically challenged components could be improved by placing vibration control products underneath. Check out Symposium products. A combination of Rollerblock 2+, Jr , HDSE, big/small pads, and/or shelving etc would do the trick. Symposium even made 'custom' small svelte pads to place under my VPI turntable motor.

Thank you J3brow. I had previously used a Solidsteel rack between (though set back from the plane of the speakers) and found a large improvement was had when placing components close to the floor and on their own stands. The image was considerably better, so would really like to stay with the general layout. I am looking at Black Diamond Racing carbon fiber shelf, etc. to raise the BDP-1 and BDA-1 up a bit.
