Wyred 4 Sound Headphone Amplifier
Wyred has a new headphone amplifier that is being ready for release very soon. I had a chance to glance at it yesterday and it looks pretty sweat.
It seems to be very solidly built and also rocks an ESS DAC with full DSD support up to DSD128 (I believe, maybe 256, not sure on that). I believe they re still taking pre-orders at a discounted price... https://www.wyred4sound.com/products...ted-amps/ntimo |

ESS/SABRE...Meh! (One man and one "-E-'s" opinion)

I've heard DACs using ESS chipsets which sound exceptionally fine, and others much less so. Like so many things in high end audio I have found that the ultimate performance level of a component is more related to the details of its circuit implementation rather than being determined by a single component. In DAC design attention paid to power supplies and analog circuitry can be just as significant (possibly even more so) than the choice of DAC chip. Just my experience with numerous DACs over the years, too many to count!

I totally agree! (although I do not have the same experience that you have).
