I've had it in the store for about a week now, and have played a lot with it. It's a great product: looks great; feels great; sounds great. Although maybe a little too much bass for my taste. Already sold quite a few of these small beauties

The sound is like an inexpensive entry level pair of B&W speakers. Forward midrange with little to no high frequency details and little to no sub bass. These are very colored headphones. Perhaps even more than the P5. It's not a bad thing because it's easy for the average music listener to like which they are the targeted audience. The ear pads do need a little adjustments to fit nicely on the ear. I like a little more clamping force, but it's not really an issue. The leather on the P5 is A LOT nicer than this plastic material. In terms of build quality, the P5 wins. I love the way it looks so I'm gonna keep them in my collection.

Looks like Tyll didn't like the sound either.

But he does seem to be pleased with me MDR-ZX700's, and by extension, your 1000's. I do like a nice big blousy 50mm driver unit, and a 5-40,000, or, heavens to betsy, your 80,000, frequency range. They, the 40's, really do sing with me $26 fm walkman.

But the 'phones I've just brought for my Pure Evoke 3 Dab radio? Watch this space..

The Sony Zx700 is a good headphone for $149. The zx1000 is even better. I own both and I like the sound.

After extensive testing, i found an easy fix for the P3. Flip the ear pads upside down and the highs and mids clears up nicely. You won't lose any bass either. Try it! Let us know your thoughts.
