I think so Dan, I have a their very basic unit, using more for surge protection than anything else.. It was recommended to me by the audio rep I deal with here in Kingston. I've read some good reviews about Chang, but I can't comment on how good they are in comparison to others. I don't have that kind of experience. I just thought I would mention it since it wasn't included in the list.

Thanks again! I guess I have to buy a PPP first. I thought I saw a post here selling his PPP in a week or two.

What is your impression on MPC1500?

Dario.......The McIntosh MPC1500 seems to be a good isolation transformer with some unique receptacle triggering options. I prefer power regeneration as the method for cleaning my power. If I wasn't using the four PPP's that I own, I would also be looking at the units from Pure Power. I am completely satisfied with the performance of my Power Plant Premier units.

The person who mentioned selling his PPP's is Howard (hkval). You could not find a more secure and reliable person to purchase pre-owned gear from, and it will be in perfect condition. Send him a PM letting him know you are interested.

Dan: do you remember the big red meatball landing light system ? My company built them. If it malfunctioned you probably cursed me.

I use furman ref 20 and ref 15 on two dedicated lines, I like the current reserve function.

I have a Tripplite LCR2400 voltage regulator, which is fed by a Furman Elite-15PFi. Earlier today I saw the results of a CE Pro 100 poll online, and the 5 most popular brands were (in order) Panamax, Furman, Monster, APC and Richard Gray. Panamax is Furman's parent company, I believe.

Yes, I think so. By now the navy is on a newer system. Judging from the V/N time period I believe that's the one we built. It is an electro/mechanical system using high intensity lamps, lenses and a motorized system. It located the plane to the deck and compensated for ship's motion in the sea.

You may also recall the Romeo-8 shipboard telephone system, red phones and a big switcher assy. We called them "RED Boxes". I see them in my sleep, worked on them for years.
