Wireworld connectors were identical, per the photos above. I measured entry, mid and flagship connectors.

Is the issue outer specs or is it the inner grip on the power cord? Seems like cord weight would exacerbate the problem, but could maybe be fixed with new routing and/or ties to the rack?

I have a velcro tie on my BD player's WW Stratus cord now. It's holding so far. The WW Stratus doesn't seem to have that great a bending radius, so I may adjust the tie or reposition the cord to create some slack to ease tension.

I have had a thought. Since I have an eye on the PC connection on my Furman SPR-20i, I'd like to see what the Shunyata Venom HC 20A cord IEC connector's size is. That's my prime candidate to replace the Pangea/WW Stratus combo there now, which has too much play; Going behind the system and nudging it produces interruption of the current flow, apparently; I hear the telltale "click" that says so. The cord doesn't fall out, but it's "disturbable" (I made that word up).

Perhaps I should measure the SPR's IEC port too; I don't have a micrometer, but I'd want an idea, and a good ruler will give me that. Wait, there is the VooDoo 20A/15A adapter also, come to think of it. It's less than a new cord, and I'd think it has the same "death-grip" the power cords do.

Have you ever thought about trying Crystal Cable? You can choose your connector type plus the wires are extremely thin and light and would have very little downward pull as a result.

This has been my finding using Wireworld power cables with my McIntosh gear. The IEC connector fits tight but the weight of the cable (Wireworld recommends 2m lengths) tends to place downward stress on the connector if not routed and/or supported correctly.

(Might be more interesting to evaluate cable weights.)

From what I know of Crystal Cables, they're supposed to be good but are well out of my price range, unfortunately.

Also, the play in the SPR cord setup suggests the current adapter itself isn't a tight fit, so that's why I'm now thinking about changes. The adapter would allow me to keep my current cords, though I guess I could just put the stock 20A cord back on the SPR and use a regular 12AWG extension cord with it.
