mc2300 and bryston 4b sst2

How do you want to combine them? Bi-amp? Power different speakers in the system?

I think Ronald just wants to use his 4BSST2 amp with a C2300 as a basic system. Does anyone know if there might be an impedance issue between the C2300 and the 4BSST2? I know Brystons interface well with Aesthetix and ARC preamps. Not sure about McIntosh preamps though.

One nice thing about the 4Bsst2 and other Bryston amps is the selectable gain switch on the back of the amp. The selection is either 23db or 29db of gain.
This will help match the gain structure on the pre-amp to the amp for proper gain linearity on the master volume in most situations. Unless there is an abnormal impedance mismatch there should be no problem running this combination.

From my experience a tube pre-amp with a smooth sounding neutral and clean product like the C2300 coupled with the dynamic, powerful and extended sound of the 4Bsst2 should yield a synergistic combination coupled with an appropriately matched speaker.
