Travelling in the Cape area since 2 days, we are amazed at how beautiful this place is.
Friendly people and amazing landscape.
Will upload pics when I will be home.

Jerome,

The home that I have spent 6 years restoring is a beautiful Cape Dutch.

I have really fallen in love with this beautiful architecture.

Jérôme
As you are finding out South Africa can be very beautiful with friendly people and great place to visit. Like many other countries it also has very dangerous areas which are best to avoid.

Enjoy your travels Jerome. I am told Cape Town is one of the most beautiful spots there are.

Thanks friends !
Stephen, the architecture is brilliant here. Wonderful. I love their modern homes too.
Jim, yes I know that some places may be very dangerous. Cape town is the safest place. We won't go to townships without organized associations.

Jerome,

Stay safe. Even in Cape Town there are areas to avoid. I know, I have driven through them! (by accident).

Make sure you get to the beautiful areas, Table Mountain of course but also LLandudno beach and try the calamari at Chapman's Peak Hotel, it's fantastic and the drive is sublime.

If you have time, a trip to Hermanus is also nice. I went skin diving there for perlemoen (abalone) once amongst the kelp forests.

Hello Howie,

Thanks !
We were on this road yesterday.
Unfortunately we just stay 3 full days in CapeTown and the area would deserve at least a week. But the country is big and we'll leave for Krugger Park tomorrow.
This morning : a tour of helicopter and after that Table Mountain.
And yes, we have seen places in Cape Town to stay away from : and my wife is very fast to spot them so we did not enter any of those yet....I hope it will continue today !
All the rest of the trip will be done with guides.
