Where did you get that info and is the use of KT 150 the only modification announced ?

Supposedly some new modifications as well. We will see shortly but more than just KT150s

Well the case work should be a little bit higher at least to give a little bit more physical headroom for the KT-150 tubes at the very least but I am sure there will be modifications to the transformer specs and/or windings used for the tube as well as some minor circuit rework (slight mods in resistors, cap values, etc...) to optimize for the new tubes. Just making assumptions here.
Hopefully this will put the REF gear back in prominence as compared to the Galielo series products. |

1k more for the REF75SE and 2k more for the REF150SE. Forget what the REF250SE was. So the REF150SE will be 5k cheaper than the GS150. At least that's what it sounds like. |

Thanks Priaptor - these are great news for REF150 lovers as me. I always found it to be the best value for money of the Reference models - powerful enough for most existing speakers and great sound quality.

I agree. If my GS150 is an indicator of what to expect from the REF150SE it will be a true "bargain"

It would be most welcome were the SE upgrade to impart a degree of the same in an Reference line amplifier. |
