Marc,
How big is your room? If you are contemplating on Alexia I don't think the REF75 would do. My brother had just recently traded up his Sasha for Alexia. While his Ref150 drove Sasha well, with new Alexia he found it a bit wanting hence now pondering Ref250s. And that in a smallish room, I'd say roughly of about 3.5m x 5.5m. It's not about outright sPLs, but rather more of control (impedance dips I guess). So yes, as others have suggested, careful planning and timetable need to be sorted out first from start. But do give the ARC combo loaner a whirl on your Sasha tomorrow, who knows they satisfy your craving and will probably help ease that fever currently attacking at least until later next year. |

_MG_2726a.jpg I've heard the Ref75 with the Alexia before at the dealer's showroom and it was good, however I didn't do any critical listening. I don't know how loud it will play. |

Very nice looking room and set-up. With those cubic feet not sure if the REF 75 will handle some of the more difficult albums you throw at it. |

I still will be listening to it through the D100, which I think is the weakest link in the chain at this point. |

Paul Bolin didn't have any problem driving his Sashas with a REF 75:

Looking at his room, Ref75 + Sasha still do-able albeit with some limitation when pushed to extreme.. But not Alexia to satisfying level, nor long term satisfaction ime.
