Seriously, the shades that Tremayne and Bart have look good and tone down the unusual shape that would be hard to swallow in a Lamborghini color unless you were in a very mod type of house/room. Would love to hear them some day, and also am a firm believer that most speakers look better in person than in photos. Hope to see them at the Cape some day!

I have heard the G1's on a couple of occasions, and imo they are one of the best sounding speakers on the market!
The ability of the G1's to reproduce the bottom end with superb resolution is almost without peer. The new model Spirit is supposed to be even better!!! You had best hurry up and place your order, as I wouldn't be too surprised that the current price will be raised considerably once they are seen to be a contender for best at any price!
I envy anyone who has the funds....and the necessary space, to write the check for this baby.

Yes! I like the music reference. With so many cuboid speakers out there, I think Vivid's designs are a refreshing change. Color for a new pair of G1 Spirits?

I have seen and heard Bart's wonderful speakers - in beautiful glowing black finish -

When I went to visit Bart and Meta a couple of months ago, I was very much pre-disposed to not like the speakers but when I left, three days later, I found that I was very much pre-disposed to try to find a pair for myself.

I loved them! I even loved the way they look . . . but, oh, the sound - WOW!

P.S. My wife, who accompanied me on my Belgian visit, is a very traditional sort of person, and liked them as well as I did and continues to encourage me in my search to find some! (I haven't told her how much they cost though.)

Regarding the WAF: strike while the iron is hot my friend! When we got our Amati Futuras, I had brought along about a dozen of my wife's favorite CDs, sat her down in the sweet spot at the dealer, and 90 minutes later of swapping out disks for her was told to negotiate a deal.

if you are going red then something darker would be the go. Alternately the pearl white, although the lighter colour will make them look bigger.

Given that it is a painted surface you could get really brave. If you have the art gallery modern look to your room you could go for a concrete or pumice look, possibly even with a gently textured finish. I guess you could call in the monolith look. Go all Stone Henge on it. I guess the yellow could work in that context as well. There is no hiding a big speaker and the curves tend to give an object a tactile quality ( don't touch the drivers however). Building on that quality could make more of them as a modernist piece.

Do you have any friends that are sculptors that could give an opinion.
