AXPONA - Chicago Friday 04/12/24 thru Sunday 04/14/24

Ever since RMAF cancelled hosting and managing its magnificent audio event in 2020 and subsequently announcing during COVID its decision to discontinue future hosting's, I've been eager to attend an event.

This coming AXPONA event in Chicago (Schaumburg, IL area) is front and center and just booked flights & purchased a 3-day pass.

Any other AA'ers interested or planning to attend?

As with the Florida Audio Show, if anyone who attends has the opportunity to listen to the new Canton Reference speakers (assuming they are there), would be most interested your thoughts. Especially the Ref 9.

Their dealership will be there -- Bluebird Music LTD -- doesn't say on AXPONA nor on BlueBird websites what will be on site. I'll probably stop by the room (434) and do a look-sie.

Bob - just heard from Jay Rein at Blue Bird. Part of his response was, "Reference 9 are in stock now but we are not planning to exhibit at Axpona this year. Perhaps one of our dealers will show something from Canton, but we will not."

Okey Dokey - I don't see another exhibitor listed as displaying Canton -- could change; but doubtful.

I'm considering grabbing a ticket for this on Friday mainly to check out the vendor section and see if Music Direct and Acoustic Sounds have some OOP titles for sale.

Due to numerous medical issues, there is no way I could make the flight. I was overly optimistic I could do it -- not goanna happen.

Appears every show lately I preorder tickets & flights; I end up with a more than justifiable reason to cancel. Bummer but health is more important.

Will miss seeing my dealer, BP from Wilson & KH from VAC (who I owe a big kiss to- YIKES) & fellow forum buds.
