I respect all your opinions and different tastes about Pryma.
Of course, the target is not at all HiFi enthusiasts like we are. Pryma is more like an assessoare with good sound. The target is more the fashion enthusiast that wants to listen to musik with these headphones, on the way to work, at work and so on. Urbanears, or Dr Dre is in another price segment and sounds not nearly as good, looks cheep and feels fragile in a plastic material. You will hardly se Pryma in traditional HiFi stores. More likely in expensive fashion stores. I don't use headphones often. If I really want be musically involved I think big speakers does it better. But when I travel, going to the gym, waiting for my kids or walking alone it works well with headphones. Since I think they are the best looking headphones out there that produces a nice friendly sound, it's my cup of tee. I like the mix. Here follows some humble thoughts about why I like what Pryma is doing and why it will work well. I hope... If the traditional HiFi gear also were looking better in general it would be welcome. It would certainly be a way to expand the shrinking target group and necessary. If you ask 100 persons. -Do you like musik and do you listen often to it? I think that at least 90 of them would agree. Just a fraction of them uses decent gear. Probably due to a lot of reasons. One reason could be -the look of traditional gear, another could be -what we think of having HiFi gear in the living room. These thoughts can be changed as the opinion about fashion changes after a while. Maybe, in a near future, HiFi is a product everybody has got at home. In Asia it's more like that already. To sell Hifi we need to rethink of how to sell it and in what packages. Pryma is an interesting and maybe a well working way of "HiFi" branding.

They sound a bit dark with rolled off highs. Bass and mids are good, but for $500 there are better options, i.e. Audeze Sine, imho. The Pryma looks great and comfort is good, but not a true audiophile can.

Pryma show Beyoncé wearing a pair on these cans on their website, that pretty much shows what demographic they are going after.
