I've bought two products based on their reviews and have been extremely happy with the purchases. Their reviews are very concise and complete. They do extensive tests on their video products. Based on their reviews I bought my blu-ray player and projector. They appear to be above board.

Secrets of Home Theater and Hi Fi is overall a very good web site, and their "primers" are very well written and chock full of knowledge and information. Their reviews are somewhat of a mixed bag, especially lately since a few of their best reviewers have been scooped up and hired by some of the competition and print magazines such as Widescreen Review and Home Theater Magazine. That being said, their DVD and Blu-Ray player reviews are as good as you will find and pretty much recognized as the benchmark among online reviews. They also review the JL subs appropriately well and gave the MDA1000 the award for DAC of the year
