Ivan and PS Audio- a magical connection
As many folks know Ivan ran a sale last month on PS Audio Power Plants, and after years of reading about how folks have found great benefit from these devices, I had enough shekels saved up to order a P5 on sale.
Yesterday I contacted Ivan to check that he received my payment, and he informed me that my unit would ship soon. Then I was struck by a simple but important idea- I live 10 minutes from PS Audio in Boulder, could I cut out UPS and just pick my unit up at PS Audio HQ? I posed this idea to Ivan, and while he was not sure it would work, he gave me the name of a woman to contact. I called her at PS Audio and explained the situation, and she said it should not be a problem. She put me on hold to check what was in stock. After a little wait she returned and told me there were no units available. But here comes the magic! She then said the guys would build me a fresh P5, and that I could pick it up the next day after 3 PM! Today I made the 10 minutes sojourn to PS Audio, and as promised my newly built P5 was waiting at the receptionists desk. I signed for my unit and brought it home. Best of all, after a minor tear-down, dusting and reconfiguration my P5 is providing me with beautifully clean electricity. While things are settling back in, and the gear is getting used to a new electrical source, my music already is demonstrating greater clarity, dimensionality and texture than ever, with a nice black background. So many thanks to Ivan and the folks at PS Audio for a "custom made" Power Plant P5, and great customer service.

While I bought my P5 long before I "met" Ivan, I can attest to what a great company PS Audio is and even more importantly how significant the improvement of my system was after deploying the P5. Some day I'll certainly have a P10 (or whatever replaces it)!
