I ordered quite a few, and they included one for free! Thanks again for the tip. Especially nice is that I have seen quite a few of these musicians live.

Tchaikovsky is one of my favorites; and I think this is a wonderful performance.

Listening Again to . . Bach - Violin Concertos
Julia Fischer - Violin Academy of St. Martin in the Fields I really liked this recording when I played it last week and I'm playing it again. I especially like the Concerto for Oboe & Violin, which Ms. Fischer said was her favorite Bach Concerto and she plays it as though she really likes it.

I can't remember who recommended this CD - might have been Julian. But whoever it was - thank you very much. It is superb. I very much like Teresa Berganza's voice. I was aware of her of course, and heard her in, I think, a Don Giovanni CD I have tucked away somewhere. But sadly never paid much attention to her before now. What error. She has, in my respectful submission, a similar tone to Dame Joan. For good measure I followed it with: Which again as I recall was a recommendation from this forum. Thank you. Terrific recording and performance. Possibly the best performance of these Concerto's I have heard. SACD doesn't hurt either. Both terrific value from CD universe.
