That’s the problem, I can’t find the barrel specs for the TiVo. I did read an external link about finding the size of a DC barrel hole by trying different drill bit sizes and when the right one fits, then it will be known.

Again thanks for all your help and suggestions. It’s highly appreciated
I’ll keep working on this and let you know what I find.

I don’t know the specs on the UpTone LPS, but be sure you know the volts to not under or over power the TiVo, amps will draw what is needed up to their rating.
Yes, your probably right about TiVo not using a proprietary connection. Indeed, if I can get the specs for the TiVo Bolt barrel size, I’ll get both the Ghent & Keces.

Thanks to all of you who replied for the help and suggestions. It’s much appreciated.

Default TiVo Bolt with Shunyata power cord?

Do you have digital calipers? They’re cheap and invaluable in life.

Not suggesting this one in particular, but at $23, who cares about 0.002mm accuracy.

Good idea. Not a Mitutoyo, but good enough for this application.

I'll bet. I'll buy a Mitutoyo one day...they're great.

The good news is most barrel connectors are standard these days. You just need to know which one to order.

RLF,
You need a 2.5mm (ID) X 5.5mm (0D) X 12.mm (long) DC barrel plug for your Tivo. Note that the 5.5 mm OD is 0.4 mm larger than most DC power jacks, which are typically 5.1mm. This may explain why the DC barrel plug you tried did not fit.

Thanks Puma Cat. That sounds plausible as to why it doesn’t fit even though it looks the same. May I ask where you got that information before I go ahead and order. Thanks, Bob

Found it Amazon for an aftermarket power supply (wall-wart) that was documented to power the TiVo Bolt.

Just did my "scientist" research-thang..
