Considering purchasing a used Triton v1, but...
what the vendor calls a "discoloration" on one of its outlets looks like an arcing artifact to me.
Vendor says the "discoloration" does not affect the unit's operation or functionality. If Caelin or Grant are looking in, what do you think? Thanks in advance.

I’d agree. Somebody did not follow the shut down or equipment connection or disconnect procedures properly. I’d require it be fully checked by Shunyata.

Why don't you send an e-mail with your picture and the unit's serial number to Shunyata?
info@shunyata.com If the vendor is an authorized dealer, Shunyata will probably deal directly with them. If Shunyata want to inspect it, have the vendor ship it to them. Thanks, guys. Confirms my reservations. So I'll pass. It wasn't a "must do", anyway.
Meanwhile, the Hydra 8 v2 has noticeably upgraded the sonic performance of the bedroom system, so I'm clam-happy. And that's while awaiting an on-order Delta NR PC.
