TAD was forced to introduce de MKII nomenclature only because it was imposible to purchase the original woofer material.
The MKII is 99.9% as the original. It was an eventual change contrary to TAD whises.
So the MKII is the most aproximated speaker to the MKI. Not in reverse.

Are you against technology and research driven improvements?
Wilson updates their products when new technologies or results of new research are discovered within approximately a 5 year cycle. It's not just marketing. Read the literature on the changes in the Alexia v2. There are numerous changes made internally and a few external, all of which are credited with improved sound. You don't have to believe that, but anyone who wants to hear for themselves can audition and decide.
I for one, feel that the original was not flawed, rather its a classic. With the new version coming out, it gives me an opportunity to move up to the v1 at a great price and I purchased it.
