Pure magic.
The way they interact is fabulous.

This is the summit of improvisation, and it works, everything gels in a most magnificent way.
In this new album, Without A Net, you get exactly this same atmosphere.
Already after only listening once, I know I will cherish this silver disc...
More than 77 minutes of jazz witchcraft, very highly recommended!
Listening to this magnificent album again.
I can relive the magic of the live concerts very easily...

Rosemary Clooney - Duke Ellington & his orchestra - Blue Rose

This was a recommendation from this thread.
It was no love at first sight, but the more I listen to it (5th time now, it wasn't too hard because the melodies are of course so loveable), the more I can appreciate the cooperation.
As stated above, the sound is very good for a recording of '56.

Danilo Perez - The Journey

Before he joined the Wayne Shorter Quartet, he had already made some fine albums.
This is one of them.

Gerry Mulligan & Scott Hamilton - Soft Lights & Sweet Music
Mobile Fidelity (SACD)
I'm sure this album has been posted here before. If you are a fan of the baritone, and tenor saxophone put this one on your list for a listen.

LA4 - Just Friends
Groove Note (SACD)

A favorite Brazilian Jazz album. Prefer the Groove Note pressing because it sounds more realistic than the SACD to my ears, but the SACD still revels some of the vinyl qualities, and is close. Glad to have this SACD release.

Snarky Puppy - Culcha Vulcha
Tidal
Stumbled onto this band today, and the complex layering of sound they have captured is really something. Not the standard / traditional jazz recording, but a blending of many different musical styles. Probably could classify this as borderline jazz fusion. I see there is also a vinyl release available. I'm adding it to my list of albums to purchase.

Gregory Porter - Liquid Spirit

Pretty nice album.
Would be interesting to hear him in less easy pieces.
