Grado GS-1000s and AKG 701s, both modded with Equinox Cable fro Stefan Audio Arts. I prefer the warmer and more open sound of the Grados. My usual headphone amp is the Woo Audio 3+, but I usually get to play with a lot of different ones for review.

I picked up a pair of Audio Technica ATH-A700's and a NuForce Icon for my girlfriend's headphone rig, it sounds surprisingly good. A aftermarket PC was a must though, it appears the original power supply needs a little extra filtering.

I like to hear your recomendations on Closed cans. I saw a great deal on the HD650 ($300), new. I don't think my girlfriend would want to hear my music while she is watching TV. Denon seems to be nice. Are there others?

The new Monster ones are pretty bass-y. I was shocked at how nice they sounded for noise cancellers. They came out after the ones I purchased though (senn).

I probably should have just stuck with my in-ear travel units for the use I will get out of these. I thought I needed a pair and was bored. Summary. These are very nice phones. It is me who has the problem.

Jim.......I understand. There is something about listening, and feeling the music through speakers, verses just having it in your head in the way headphones do. Those are fairly pricy headphones to just be dust collectors, but then here sits my Sennheiser HD 600 headphones, too. I haven't listened to them in a while, either. It does make me happy to know they are available and waiting for the times I want to listen to headphones. That's why I keep them.
