Default MC611s vs MC601s

..has anyone upgraded from the 601s to the 611s? If so could you elaborate on any sonic differences? Thanks in advance..

I’m sure a lot of us are wondering the same thing. I have not heard or read any first hand experience on this matter. In due time I’m sure someone will make the comparison. Until then, I will continue enjoying my 601s but never say never

Not a comparison but rather a review by a member here who bought a pair and gave his thoughts.: https://www.audioaficionado.org/show...ighlight=mc611

I listened to the 601s and 611s side by side with the c1100 as preamp and D1100 as a Dac. We played the same songs and no one could hear any difference. I have a pair of 601s and they'll be the last amps I'll ever buy for the Great Room system. Love them. DACs are always evolving so that's something I keep an eye on.

..bless you my son! I’ve owned the 601s for about 3 yrs now and love them but you know how it goes...the siren song of the upgrade vixens. The $$ saved not to mention further disc herniation. You’ll pardon me while I fire up my vaunted 601s..
