My meaning was that they sound really good with a basic setup. In that regard, people might find them easy to setup. I had them like that for months and was ecstatic.

It wasn’t until audio paranoia was triggered from reading how they should be excellent not merely good, that I really began to study the Masters Setup, my room treatments and to deeply listen to music for queues on excellence - namely trust my ears.

My sound now is more coherent across the soundstage front to back and left to right and it extends outside of the visual barriers of the speakers.

More to come once that I get them.
Congratulations! Beautiful speakers and I’m sure you’ll love them.

Ivan’s never steered me wrong — I doubt he’s starting now.

Thanks to everyone who has posted congratulations. Looking forward to getting them and kudos to Ivan for finding and arranging the shipment details of a mint pair of Strads for me. They should arrive and be setup by a local friend of Ivan’s next month who comes highly recommended by Ivan for his setup abilities.

My Strads are on their way and should arrive and be setup by February 10. Exciting to say the least.

Its nice to see the Strads. still being a sought after speaker over 10 years since it was first introduced. I love my pair and will not likely ever sell them . A dealer near me up north received a 35 anniversary pair which he set up and they looked and sounded identical to mine (except for the 35 anniversary logo) . I wonder if there is any chance they will bring them back. The Strads. never had a version II.
