Really appreciate all the feedback and comments. Thing is I also like power and do probably like took play louder than most, from what I read so I'm always worried about not having enough. I know now however that I rarely push my MA8000 past 50%, typically playing in my sweet spot around 42-45%, and that is getting plenty loud in my room. My old Classe CA301 @ 300wpc drove my Hales transcendence 8's with ease and power to spare. For those not familiar with the old Paul Hales masterpiece, they are similar to 803D's, and I was hopeful my power was sufficient with the Mcintosh.

I recently replaced my Mac LS 350s with 803Ds in rosewood. Biwired them to my MC207 and I couldn't be happier. Play them loud and rarely see the red lights go on!
